Aon sponsor Bamburi Rugby Super Series

The 2012 Bamburi Rugby Super Series, which commences on Saturday 5 May 2012, received a sponsorship boost of Ksh. 1 million from Aon Kenya on Friday 20 April 2012.
Aon Kenya will also provide medical cover for the 250 players who will take part in the tournament that will be played in various places.

Aon CEO sub-sahara Africa Mr. Joe Onsando presented the sponsorship to the Series’ officials led by Chairman Mr. Aggrey Chebeda and Kenya Rugby Union Director of National Teams Mr. Phillip Jalang’o in his office.

Mr. Onsando said the cash donation will help with the organization of the series which runs for the next one month.

He said Aon has a proud heritage of supporting the development of sports both locally and globally and cited the sponsorship partnership that they have with Manchester United as testimony.

The CEO said by offering such sponsorships, Aon continues to create an avenue where youth can nurture their sporting talent as well as maintain good physical and mental health.

He said Aon helped develop rugby in Kenya by sponsoring the Bamburi Rugby Super Series the Safari Sevens and said he was happy with the tremendous growth the sport has enjoyed.

Both Mr. Chebeda and Mr. Jalang’o welcomed the sponsorship saying it would promote both the series and the rugby game overall.
